Bruce B. Moor, MD is a practicing radiologist at Benedictine Hospital in Kingston, NY. Photography was a natural outgrowth of his largely visual profession, namely, reading x-rays. He has only recently come to photography, having spent many years involved in wood and steel sculpture, and jewelry making. There is a strong feeling for the history of the Hudson River port of Rondout, and the associated industries (now defunct.) The relationship of water to land and their ever-changing nature is expressed in much of his work. The dawn and dusk transitions play their magic, and make the ordinary, extraordinary. He limits post processing of his digital images, feeling that the picture is in the viewfinder, not in the lab. |
